Comment from Jillian Sorensen

"Words cannot describe how grateful I am that we discovered Heather Thompson! I inquired to 5 "trainers" I found online, begging for help with my horses. I sent them all the same plea stating that we had obtained three horses all from "unfortunate" circumstances. The issues we had made me fearful for ours and our horses safety. I received 4 replies to urgently bring my horses to their establishment so they could "fix" the horses. Heather replied that I should bring my daughters to her facility to meet her and her horses. We went out that day and met Heather and her barnfuls of amazing equines. Heather very patiently explained that we needed to get a horse education and why. We spent the next three months visiting Heather twice a week learning everything about equines from top to bottom and front to back. She taught us how to care for, manage, feed and love our horses. She taught us how to saddle, tack, clean and most importantly how to ride safely. After a few months we did decide to have Heather train one of our horses, which she did in a fantastic way with spectacular results. Heather gave us solutions to the "people problems" our horses had and set us on a path of equine ownership that I expect will culminate in some blue ribbons and a stable full of equines that I adore. The gifts that Heather's teachings gave us will last a lifetime. My daughters and I ride together every week, and each time we saddle up I am grateful for the gift of knowledge that allows us to spend fun, quality time together riding horses that we love. Thank you Heather and HAPPY TRAILS!"

"Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed myself Saturday and I am looking forward to the next time. Hope I was some sort of help. I learned alot, and have a lot to remember. I really appreciate the time you took with your guidance and the helpful way you delivered it. You truly seem to be a wealth of horse knowledge, and I just hope I can retain half of it."

"You are the best around and was a shame you were leaving soon. Again, congrats on the move and all your success! Told you that it would come! You are really good with people as well as with horses plus you care about both and that is a rare combination and you and Lynn are both ready to help people out even when it isn't business. May God bless the trails y'all ride."

"It was fun seeing the show on Sat and it motivated me to get on my two horses at home and start practicing again! I'm learning more about what they look for and what the rules are at foundation shows and so far I like it. I think the basic premise of having a versatile, all around horse that will do many tasks in an arena is a great concept. I loved the way you had your horses so calm and willing to try anything - and more than anything else you could tell they were happy to be there and be working. I was very impressed with your riding and the way your horses reacted to everything you asked. "

"I just wanted to tell you how much we love "Baby". My 6 year old grandson is riding her and he is doing good. She is a wonderful Pony. Thank you so much for selling her to us. She will be loved and have a home with us forever. My 1 1/2 year old granddaughter leads her around and pets and loves on her, we lead her on baby too."

Just wanted to say "Thanks".

Comment from Moni Bellpani, Owner of Milo

August 2007

"I guess Milo has given us both a first, if it makes you feel better you are the first perosn that has ever broke a horse for me. But after 25 years of riding horses for the public I am just burned out and it aint fun anymore. I had watched you ride enough colts to know that I liked the way you handled them, so I bit the bullet and asked you. I am sure you can handle what ever the $hit head throws at you, he sure made a lier out of me too because I never dreamed he would be that wild and wooly. I can tell you its horses like him that make you a better trainer, its also ones like him that make you appreciate the ones that don't have aliens in their brain."

Comment from Karen Hupe, Owner of Dandy

March 2007

"The context of your site is what made us so comfortable and confident that the horse we would be buying from you would be exactly what you said she would be. And she is!

But, most of all, THANK YOU for helping me get my confidence back and for selling me a horse that you knew would take care of me.

Your horse training skills and your people training skills are so incredibly aswsome. I could watch you train horses all day long. I will recommend you to anyone and everyone that is looking for a horse trainer or for riding lessons.

Gary, Kourtney and I want to thank you for the time you spent with us. What a wonderful weekend...well until you made me wreck Gary's truck! *lol*

We look forward to a long, lasting friendship with you and Lynn.

Awsome site........Awsome people!"

Comment From Amy Rainwater, Owner of Rocky

January 2007

"Thank you Heather and Lynn for all the work that you have done with Rocky. Heather, Rocky is looking great and has learned so much since you have been working with him. Lynn, I am so happy that he does not have to wear shoes anymore.

Lynn: What the website states about your farrier work is absolutely true. In fact, Cosmo actually likes farriers now that he has you."

Comment from Julie Trainor, Owner of Lena

December 2006

"Heather did a great job of relating our rides yesterday. I haven't seen her ride Rocky out before, and his progress is impressive. As for Bucky... Man, that little colt can move out! Heather is such a hand with a horse. She constantly works to get the most from her mount, and gives her all to it in return. I wish we could have had a video of Bucky and Lena spooking at those roping steers. I think the two thoughts going through my mind went something like this: 1) Uh-oh, Heather might just be about to get her 'western' moment, followed a split second later by the thought that I might be about to get mine! What makes me smile is that during one of our simultainious whirls for home, I hear Heather calmly telling me to pull Lena around. She had her hands full of Bucky, and was still thinking about me and Lena too. I think we had a shared moment or two of joint concern for the other... :) Something else I have to comment on is the effect Heather has had on me. Yes, she's done an excellent job with my mare, and every spare dollar I save will go toward more work with her. But more than that, she's (possibly unknowingly) helped tremendously on the path to regaining confidence in myself and my abilities. Without being pushy, she's gotten me over issues that I've had, be it crossing a bridge with water WAY down below, riding out down a road, (got ran over by a car when I was 14, and had a bad accident with a green horse) and convinced me without being obvious about it that not all loping horses are out to get me. I loped Lena for the first time on our ride yesterday, and it's entirely due to Heather that I had the confidence in myself to do so. Lena is a wonderful little mare, and my hesitation comes from doubts of myself, not her. Because of Heather, I sucked up my fears and gave Lena the chance to show me what she could do, and it was great. Granted the first time wasn't what I would call equitation at it's finest, but Lena put up with me and the second time was smooth as silk. I have a lot of work to do to get back into show shape, but with Heather's patience and Lena as a partner, I'm sure we'll get there."
